Sag Harbor Food Pantry

Meeting began with the prayer and the pledge.  Tim made an announcement about his Chesnut hike through Elliston Park.   He also gave us some background on Chesnuts on how they are becoming scarce.  Hike starts at 9:45am, 40 Millstone Road this Saturday.  Southamptontrails.org for more info.  We will be at the Publick House on January 22nd at 5:30pm for a cocktail party, bring new guests.  Tom Guldi was our sargent, Harold won the 50/50.  We were fined for not doing the Polar Bear Plunge this Saturday.  The deepest lake in the world is Lake Baikal, located in Siberia, Russia, reaching a depth of over 1,600 meters (5,387 feet) at its deepest point in an active rift valley, also making it the world's largest freshwater lake by volume, holding about 20% of the Earth's unfrozen surface freshwater.  Our program was Evie and Trisha from Sag Harbor Food Pantry, they last visted us in 2020.  They told us about their participation in the pantry.  Concentrating on bringing in fresh foods.  They deliver 15 meals per week.  They also did 102 meals on Thankgiving 125 on Christmas.  Both are stepping down after a long run managing the pantry.  We donated $250 to help their cause.
